Christian Vieri was born in Bologna, Italy on Jul. 12, 1973. For outstanding performances and superb techniques on football fields, he was widely regarded as the greatest striker and a prolific goal-scorer of Italy. Football was one of his favorite sports when he was young. Before transferred to A.C. Milan in 1988, he started playing career from Marconi Stallions. For strong body and extremely good technique on football fields, he was sought after among many world-class clubs. Having played for about 12 football clubs, he was called as a footballing nomad sometimes.
Besides several important medals and titles throughout his career, he is also a winner of numerous individual awards, including Pichichi Trophy, Capocannoniere and Serie A. Christian Vieri, with Roberto Baggio and Paolo Rossi, is the highest football players at a FIFA World Cup. He turned to be a member of the the FIFA 100 and the 125 greatest living footballers under the help of Pelé. In the whole international playing career of Vieri, he won 23 goals in 49 matches in Italy football kit.
